Why should I take this course?
The Advanced Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RAM) Analysis programme is designed to equip engineers and technical professionals with advanced knowledge and practical skills to evaluate and improve the performance of repairable systems. The course focuses on applying reliability engineering principles to assess system reliability, maintainability, availability, and operational effectiveness using failure data, downtime information, maintenance support parameters, and simulation techniques. Participants will gain hands-on experience in developing system models and analysing performance using industry-recognised methodologies and software tools.
Through practical exercises, real industrial case studies, and software-based simulations using ReliaSoft BlockSim, participants will learn how to perform advanced RAM analysis, integrate Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) into reliability models, and evaluate multi-state systems using Markov modelling techniques. The programme enables participants to identify performance bottlenecks, assess maintenance strategies, optimise asset availability, and support data-driven operational and asset management decisions.
